THE CHOIR
Formed by children of the nearby neighbourhoods, the choir turns them into protagonists of a musical performance which provides an excellent tool to develop their artistic skills in a shared activity where they also interact and cooperate.
The workshop
The objective of the choir is to be achieved through workshops each of which includes a group of 20-25 children from both sexes between 7 and 14. The choice of the children depends on their own music sensibility and their motivation. Besides being trained by the coordinator, the children will play some simple instruments (drums, triangle and tambourine).
Through this workshop, the children will do an invaluable labour helping to keep Egyptian folklore by collecting songs from their families and their environments, adding a searching labour to the strictly artistic one.
